Merrell Casting
My involvement with this company stems from a design and marketing project for its sister operation Kwik Cast Limited which specialises in fast turn around casting of precious metals for the UK jewellery trade. The development of the web site was a natural process for a company which is affected by the constant change in the cost of its raw materials.
The design of this site focuses on the provision of an online costing facility which itself relies on the integrated gold price facility which changes daily. In addition there is an online order form which can be completed with all relevant information.
There are some nice design touches on this site such as the 'melting' rollover buttons emphasising the nature of the 'lost wax' casting process and the silhouette ring background. This site demonstrates what can be achieved with a modest budget.
